This was Melankolia's debut album. It has been released 3 different times: The first release was through Black Sign Productions (defunct). It was supposed to be a limited run of 21 CDs. That never materialized, and the music was spread for free on the internet. The second release was 4 months later through Beneath the Fog Productions (defunct). While they followed through with their promise to create a physical release in an A5 case, their unprofessional behavior and attitude caused the relationship to sour, and I went elsewhere. The third release was a DIY release through Perpetual Darkness Records (an early version of my studio Perpetual Darkness Studios). Created in one weekend with my good friend Dan in the mountains of Pennsylvania, this release was limited to 15 hand-numbered albums. These were sent out to those closest to me, and, save my own copy, no more of these remain. I would love to offer this as a physical release again, but have decided that such an endeavor would not be the best use of my time and money.

So here it is: the debut album from Melankolia. It was recorded using a Radio Shack 66-key keyboard, line out directly to the sound card. I used CoolEdit Pro as a DAW. This is a primitive version of Melankolia, an imperfect start to what I envisioned I wanted from a music project. I hope you get something out of it...
